Richard Lovelady News: Joins active roster

The Mets selected Lovelady's contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.

Lovelady has coughed up 10 earned runs in just 8.1 major-league innings this year. However, he owns a 2.08 ERA and 1.04 WHIP through 17.1 innings in the minors since being outrighted to Syracuse in late July. His recent performance will buy him another shot in Queens to finish the regular season, replacing Wander Suero.
