Yoendrys Gomez News: Designated for assignment

The Yankees designated Gomez for assignment Tuesday.

Gomez has lost his place on the 40-man roster after posting a 2.70 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 5:9 K:BB across 10 innings this year. The 25-year-old will likely head to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
