2026 Fantasy Outlook
Morejon took a monumental leap forward in 2025, establishing new career highs in games played (75) and innings pitched (73.2) while producing career-best marks in ERA (2.08) and WHIP (0.90). His 13 wins were most among relief pitchers and he earned All-Star honors for the first time in his career. The southpaw threw more sinkers than ever before in 2025, tossing the upper-90's offering 62 percent of the time to produce a Statcast Run Value (16) that was third-best for that pitch type. The 26-year-old was also one of the best in the league at limiting hard contact, holding opposing hitters to a mere 30.7 percent hard-hit rate (99th percentile). The Padres have discussed the possibility of moving Morejon in their 2026 starting rotation; a role he was used in early in his career. Morejon boasts a 2.42 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 141:38 K:BB over 137.1 innings as a full-time reliever, so some ratio regression should be expected if that possibility comes to fruition. Read Past Outlooks
