Playing for his tenth team in 11 seasons, Armstrong established career-best marks across multiple categories with the Rangers, including games played (71), innings pitched (74.0), strikeouts (74), saves (nine, which tied for Texas' team lead) and holds (12). The 35-year-old tossed more sweepers (23.4 percent usage) in 2025 and his .080 BA and .120 SLG allowed on the pitch ranked second in the league among those who threw a minimum of 200 sweepers. His increased reliance on the pitch tightened up his arsenal overall, as he threw his four-seamer (29 percent), cutter (24 percent) and sinker (24 percent) nearly as equally. Armstrong's 0.69 WHIP in the 2nd-half ranked sixth among qualified relievers. His success in two out of the past three campaigns earned him a one-year, $5.5 million contract with Cleveland that includes a mutual option for 2027.
