Quantrill got a one-year, $3.5 million deal to be the Marlins' No. 5 starter in 2025. He will be getting a massive home park upgrade in Miami after spending 2024 with the Rockies, but that's about all that can be said positively about Quantrill's fantasy prospects. Among pitchers who threw 140-plus innings last year, Quantrill's 16.8 percent strikeout rate was the fourth-worst mark, ahead of only Bailey Falter, Austin Gomber and Marcus Stroman. Wins will be very hard to come by pitching for the lowly Marlins as a pitch-to-contact pitcher, so essentially we're talking about a zero-category starting pitcher who is employed by a big-league team to just eat innings.
