Jackson returns to the organization where he began his career in 2015. After spending two seasons in Arlington, he joined Atlanta where he enjoyed his greatest success, serving as closer for a lot of 2019, compiling 18 saves, nine holds and nine wins. Two years later, Jackson was the primary setup man, notching 31 holds, the second most in MLB that season. Jackson has always been able to miss bats with a 24.4 percent strikeout rate, and his 51 percent groundball rate limits homers. Walks have been the issue as shown by a 10 percent career walk rate. This spring, Jackson fanned nine while issuing just one free pass over six frames. It's a small sample, but it still garnered attention, landing Jackson in the late-inning mix. There isn't an established, clearcut closer in the Rangers bullpen, and Jackson has experienced success in high leverage scenarios in the past.
