The one constant with Farmelo since the Mariners selected him 29th overall in 2023 has been missed time. He tore his right ACL in June of 2024 after playing 46 games at Single-A, which combined with and a stress reaction in his rib limited him to 29 games at High-A in 2025. Farmelo was never healthy and playing regularly for more than a couple weeks at a time in 2025 until heading to the Arizona Fall League, where he slashed .234/.406/.442 with two homers, 12 steals and a 28:20 K:BB in 101 plate appearances. He has 70-grade speed and is a solid defender in center field - he could be a plus defender in left. Farmelo showed some weaknesses at the plate in his first exposure to High-A pitching, but it's tough to grade him too harshly given all the missed time. He should split his age-21 season between High-A and Double-A and still has intriguing power/speed upside combined with mounting hit tool risk. Read Past Outlooks
