Roldy Brito

18-Year-Old ShortstopSS
Colorado Rockies A
2026 Fantasy Outlook
An unheralded prospect coming into 2025, Brito broke out in a big way, slashing .375/.442/.463 with one home run, 13 steals and a 17.3 percent strikeout rate in 33 games at Single-A to close the year. The 18-year-old switch hitter made 21 starts in center field and 11 starts at second base after getting promoted from the Arizona Complex League on July 30. Brito had a .462 BABIP for the season, so we shouldn't take his numbers at face value. Brito's high groundball rate (56.5 percent) contributed to his lack of notable power at Single-A. He was a true pop-up prospect, and while he was very lucky on balls in play, scouts are bullish on Brito's hitting ability and they rave about his quick-twitch athleticism. An aggressive hitter who hits too many balls on the ground, Brito has a long way to go, but the ingredients are here for a future five-category second baseman or center fielder whose top fantasy contributions come in stolen bases and batting average.
