2025 Fantasy Outlook
It remains an open question as to whether Misiorowski will ever throw enough strikes to be a big-league starter. The 6-foot-7 righty's stuff is not in question, particularly his upper-90s fastball and devastating slider, both of which are 70-grade pitches at their best. Misiorowski logged a 3.50 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 105 strikeouts and 50 walks in 79.2 innings across 19 starts at Double-A before he worked primarily as a reliever over 17.2 innings at Triple-A to close the year. If Milwaukee thought Misiorowski was ready to be a major postseason weapon, he likely would have been added to the 40-man roster in September, but that move was never made. He actually made progress last season at Double-A, as he had eight starts with three or more walks in his first 10 starts and two starts with three or more walks in his next nine starts -- his only two 10-strikeout starts also came in that June/July run of improvement. Misiorowski still has a faint chance of making it as a rare starter who is good for 200-plus strikeouts per year, but a future in high-leverage bullpen situations is probably more likely at this point. Strong in short start
Misiorowski allowed three hits and a walk while striking out seven over 3.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Tuesday.
Analysis
Misiorowski was limited to 64 pitches (45 strikes), which suggests that the Brewers are initiating a workload management plan for their prized rookie in the second half. Per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, Misiorowski knew this start would be one with a pitch count. Across all levels this season, he's thrown 92.2 innings, which is approaching his high mark of 99.1 frames from last year. The specific details of any innings limit aren't known yet, but Tuesday's start in an interleague matchup makes sense as one to rein him in while letting him work more against key divisional opponents. Misiorowski is at a 2.45 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB through 29.1 innings across six starts in the majors. He is tentatively projected for a home start versus the Cubs next week. It's possible the Brewers will turn to a six-man rotation once Nestor Cortes (elbow) is activated from the injured list, but the team has yet announce if that's the direction it will take.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Misiorowski has frontline starter upside and all the stereotypical risk factors that get associated with young, lanky flame throwers. The 6-foot-7 righty missed the final month of the season with arm fatigue, can touch triple digits with his fastball and had walk rates over 13 percent at High-A (13.2 BB%) and Double-A (15.0 BB%). He also has one of the best sliders in pro ball and the type of strikeout upside that's hard to come by. It would require rapid development for him to get his command and pitchability to a point where he is ready to have success as a big-league starter in 2024. He built up to 71.1 innings but only threw five-plus innings four times in 20 starts. Misiorowski is the exact type of pitching prospect the Brewers may opt to break in as a high-leverage reliever before stretching him out the following season, as they did with Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruff.
