Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Stowers was one of Baltimore's top prospects but appeared in just 19 games in 2024 before being dealt to the Marlins at the trade deadline. He quickly joined the big-league club in Miami but finished the season with a .208/.268/.333 slash line and 35.4 percent strikeout rate. He had 18 home runs in 58 Triple-A contests but couldn't find his power in the majors with just three long balls. The swing-and-miss tendencies have been an issue throughout his time in the minors, and his .242 average the past two seasons at Triple-A is also concerning. Stowers should receive plenty of chances to work things out in the majors with the Marlins in 2025, but he's hardly a sure thing to produce despite his prospect pedigree. Read Past Outlooks

Swipes bag in Tuesday's win
Stowers went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Reds.
ANALYSIS
The 27-year-old outfielder had a rough introduction to south Florida last year after being acquired from the Orioles, but Stowers is looking a lot more comfortable to begin his first full season as a Marlin. Through 22 games, he's slashing .307/.393/.453 with two homers, two steals, 11 runs and 15 RBI, and he's making some impressively consistent hard contact -- Stowers is in the 93rd percentile in barrel rate.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Stowers was part of the Orioles' Opening Day roster last season, but he was sent down after a week and ultimately spent the overwhelming majority of his year back at Triple-A Norfolk. The 26-year-old posted an .875 OPS with 17 homers in 68 games with Norfolk, but he struck out at a 27 percent rate there and in 14 contests with the big club went just 2-for-30 at the dish. Stowers remains intriguing because of his power potential, but he's been passed up by some fellow youngsters on the Orioles' outfield depth chart and others are also threatening to leapfrog him. A path to fantasy viability in 2024 might require a trade to a new organization.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

More chances to play in Triple-A
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters that the team wants Stowers to get more regular playing time in Triple-A, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Stowers was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday after James McCann was taken off the injured list. The outfielder received only six plate appearances with the Orioles after making the Opening Day roster, and he didn't pick up a hit while striking out three times. Stowers should get plenty of opportunities to play while with the Tides in Triple-A, and a strong showing in the minors could see him back with Baltimore in the summer months.
