2025 Fantasy Outlook
Myers came out of nowhere in 2024 to stabilize Milwaukee's rotation after the organization traded away Corbin Burnes last winter. Myers inked a minor-league deal with the Brewers in November of 2022 and spent most of the following campaign with Double-A Biloxi, where he posted a 5.03 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 27 outings. He made his MLB debut in April of last season and had a 5.40 ERA in his first seven appearances, but he pitched to a 2.43 ERA the rest of the year and finished 2024 with a 3.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 127:36 K:BB across 138 innings. Myers' results may have been bolstered a bit by Milwaukee's strong defense, as evidenced by a 3.97 xFIP and 4.19 xERA, so some regression in 2025 wouldn't be surprising. A 22.3 percent strikeout rate limits his fantasy upside, and the unproven track record furthers the risk. However, he's another success story for the Brewers pitching factory, and he could entrench his spot in the rotation in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
Making season debut Thursday
The Brewers list Myers (oblique) as their probable starter for Thursday's game against the Giants in San Francisco.
ANALYSIS
Myers has yet to be activated from the 15-day injured list and won't be until Thursday, but he's on track to make his next appearance with Milwaukee after wrapping up a three-start rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville last week. He ended the assignment in style Friday, striking out five batters over five scoreless innings while permitting just two hits and one walk. Myers tossed 76 pitches in that outing, so he should be able to handle something close to a typical starter's workload in his 2025 debut with Milwaukee.
