2025 Fantasy Outlook
Warren hasn't put it all together yet, but he consistently misses bats while limiting the walks enough to keep the dream of starting alive. He had a 10.32 ERA and 1.90 WHIP in 22.2 innings last year in his first taste of the majors, yet Warren's 17.3 K-BB% was better than Luis Gil's 14.8 K-BB% and in the same ballpark as Nestor Cortes (17.3 K-BB%), Clarke Schmidt (17.8 K-BB%) and Gerrit Cole (17.9 K-BB%). Warren's best offering by far is his low-80s sweeper, and that fastball/sweeper combo allowed him to log a 28.6 K-BB% against righties, but he was completely ineffective against lefties (1.9 K-BB%, 2.30 WHIP), and he'll need to improve either his changeup (12% usage) or cutter (4% usage) to successfully navigate a big-league lineup multiple times. Warren should return to Triple-A, but he could make double-digit starts in the majors as a fill-in option with a dash of breakout potential and a good reason to watch him in the spring (looking to see how he does against left-handed hitters). Read Past Outlooks

Strikes out five in no-decision
Warren did not factor in the decision during Tuesday's loss to the Guardians. He allowed two runs on three hits and a walk over five-plus innings while striking out five.
ANALYSIS
Warren cruised through five shutout frames with little threat from Cleveland's lineup. He allowed two singles to begin the sixth inning and was charged with both runs after leaving the contest. Warren has completed five innings in three of his five starts this season but has yet to go deep enough to produce a quality start. He dropped his ERA to 4.79 with a 21:10 K:BB through 20.2 innings. Warren is currently expected to start in Baltimore next week.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Warren dominated down the stretch at Triple-A and has a 70-grade sweeper that averaged over 3,000 RPMs last year to go with a 93-94 mph fastball that touches 97 mph. He also throws an 89-mph changeup and a standard slider that is thrown harder and with less spin than his sweeper. He had a 2.10 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 64 strikeouts in 55.2 innings over his final 10 starts at Triple-A and had a 52.7 percent groundball rate over 99.2 innings at that level. Automated balls and strikes contributed to his 10.9 percent walk rate, and Warren should have good enough control to start long term. He looks like a No. 3 starter on paper and could exceed that projection if the command gains he showed down the stretch hold. Warren tallied 129 total innings and turns 25 in June. He could compete for a rotation spot in spring training, especially if anyone else in the rotation is dealing with an injury.
