Best NBA Bets Tonight
Kon Knueppel over 2.5 made threes (+102) at Miami Heat
FanDuel, 3:59 PM CT
Alex Barutha: This game has a blistering 240.5 over/under, so we're already getting some value by default. Notably, the Heat have allowed the 2nd-most 3PA per 48 minutes (43) so far this season, and that favors Knueppel. The rookie has taken 15 threes across the past two games, hitting eight of them. That percentage won't hold up, but I'm hoping he takes something like 10 threes tonight.
Ajay Mitchell over 17.5 points + assists (-105) vs. Sacramento Kings
Hard Rock, 4:07 PM CT
Alex Barutha: The Thunder will be without Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams and Isaiah Joe. Mitchell has a 31% USG rate with those three off the floor this season, and he's going up a struggling Kings squad. In Mitchell's 27.3 minutes per game this season, he's averaging 18.3 points and 3.5 assists.
Quentin Grimes O14.5 points at Wizards (-104)
DraftKings, 1:39 PM CT
It's the second night of a back-to-back for the Sixers, but facing the Wizards should still be an advantageous spot for what's been one of the most fun-to-watch teams in the NBA thus far. While the Sixers should get Joel Embiid back tonight, I think this is a friendly number for Grimes, who finished with 14 points against Orlando on Monday before fouling out in just 26 minutes. In what should be a defense-optional, back-and-forth game, we'll lean over at 14.5.
Collin Sexton O22.5 PTS+AST at Heat (-125)
DraftKings, 1:39 PM CT
Sexton is off to a strong start to the season and has gone over this number in each of the last two games against Philly and Washington. Miami is a far better defensive team, but the Heat are playing at the fastest pace in the NBA early on, so this should be a spot where the Hornets — who also love to play fast — can also push the pace. With no Brandon Miller, Sexton should draw another start and be set for a third straight 30-plus-minute night.
