Best NBA Bets Today

LeBron James over 6.5 assists (-150) vs. San Antonio Spurs

BetMGM, 4:14 PM CT

Alex Barutha: Since returning, LeBron is averaging 7.6 assists in his 33.1 minutes per game and has only gone under six assists once. Over the past 10 games, the Spurs are allowing the third-most assists per 48 minutes (29.2) to opponents. Interestingly, most of the players with uncharacteristically high assist totals against them over the past month are forwards or secondary ballhandlers like Julius Randle (12), Derik Queen (10), Vince Williams (9), Draymond Green (8), Deni Avdija (8) and Jimmy Butler (8). With Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves taking so much of the playmaking responsibilities, the secondary playmaking forward is more of the role LeBron is currently occupying.

De'Aaron Fox over 22.5 PTS (-117) at Los Angeles Lakers

BetRivers, 12:12 PM CT

Nick Whalen: I played this at 21.5 on Tuesday night but will still take it at 22.5 with the knowledge that Victor Wembanyama will not make his return tonight. Fox is averaging over 25 points per game in his last 10, while taking 18 shots and getting to the line more than eight times per game. With the total climbing up to 240.5, I like Fox to take advantage of the Lakers' shaky perimeter defense.

Rui Hachimura over 1.5 made threes (+100) vs. San Antonio Spurs

DraftKings, 12:12 PM CT

Nick Whalen: Hachimura may lose some minutes with all three of LeBron James, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves in the lineup, but that trio also opens things up tremendously for the Lakers' role players. Admittedly, this is more of a trend play, but it's tough to ignore Hachimura going over this number in 17 of 22 games thus far.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander O4.5 rebounds (-125) vs. Phoenix Suns

FanDuel, 12:12 PM CT

Nick Whalen: While the Thunder are heavy favorites, I won't be surprised if the Suns keep this game relatively close and we get a high-minute night out of Gilgeous-Alexander. The absence of Isaiah Hartenstein should open up more rebounding opportunities, and SGA pulled down eight boards in each of his first two NBA Cup games a year ago. In a game that at least has somewhat of a playoff vibe, I like backing star players in the rebounding markets. In that vein, I'd also take a look at Luka Doncic O8.5 boards in Spurs-Lakers.

Ajay Mitchell Over 11.5 points (-106) vs. Phoenix Suns

DraftKings, 11:51 AM CT

Ryan Pohle: Mitchell is having a solid sophomore campaign for the Thunder, averaging 14.4 points with five 20+ point games, which isn't easy to do on a loaded team. He'll move back to a bench role after starting in SGA's absence Sunday, but he's still regularly logged 25+ minutes off the bench, and the blowout potential should solidify that. This is a good spot against a Suns squad that is playing the second leg of a competitive back-to-back. I know the usage won't be what it was with the Thunder mostly healthy now, but Mitchell still put up 17 points with J-Dub back a few games back.
