Best NBA Bets Today

Daniel Gafford over 1.5 blocks (+154) vs. New Orleans Pelicans

FanDuel, 4:16 PM CT

Alex Barutha: The Pelicans are the most-blocked team in the NBA per 48 minutes (7.5). They've already given up six performances of 3+ blocks to individual opponents -- including Victor Wembanyama (9), Jaren Jackson (6), Ryan Kalkbrenner (4) and Neemias Queta (4). This will only be Gafford's third game of the season, but he already has three total blocks in 42 minutes and averaged 3.0 blocks per 36 last season.

Houston Rockets -7.5 at Memphis Grizzlies (-115)

DraftKings, 1:57 PM CT

Nick Whalen: Houston is on the road, but the Rockets have been a vastly better team thus far, posting the second-best NET rating in the NBA backed by the league's No. 1 offense. Memphis, meanwhile, has been a bottom-10 offense and defense thus far and is coming off of three straight losses to the Lakers, Raptors and Pistons.

OG Anunoby O20.5 PTS+REB (-120) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

DraftKings, 1:57 PM CT

Nick Whalen: With Karl-Anthony Towns listed questionable, I want to jump on a friendly number for Anunoby, who's gone over 20.5 PTS+REB in three straight and in four of seven games overall. Thus far, Anunoby is averaging 5.7 rebounds per game — up from 4.8 a year ago. He's posting the highest DRB% of his career (15.9) and his highest TRB% (9.0) since the 2020-21 season.

Ja Morant under 21.5 points (-107) vs. Houston Rockets

DraftKings Sportsbook - 1:35 p.m. ET

Kirien Sprecher: I'm 2-1 in this column after back-to-back wins on Monday and Tuesday this week. Morant has scored more than 20 points only three times in seven appearances this season. The Rockets have a ton of length in their frontcourt to combat Morant at the rim, and the point guard has struggled from beyond the arc this season, going 5-for-36. This will be a stiff test for a player who's lost his "joy" playing basketball. I'm not too concerned with Morant's playing time after he saw a season-high 35 minutes following a one-game team suspension. However, the ongoing struggle for control in Memphis certainly doesn't have me optimistic about Morant reaching his lofty standards consistently.
