Jeremy Sochan News: Cut loose by San Antonio
The Spurs waived Sochan on Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Sochan's dismissal from San Antonio comes after the 2022 lottery pick had fallen out of the rotation since around mid-December. Though Sochan didn't develop offensively like the Spurs had hoped, the 6-foot-8, 230-pound big man is a long, athletic defender who is expected to receive interest from multiple teams upon clearing waivers. If Sochan lands in a spot where he's able to earn 20-plus minutes per game, he could emerge as a deep-league asset for his ability to rack up assists and defensive statistics.
