Pat Connaughton News: Cut loose by Hornets
The Hornets waived Connaughton on Wednesday.
Connaughton's stint in Charlotte will end after Charlotte acquired Tyus Jones earlier Wednesday, which pushed the team over the 15-player roster limit. The veteran wing had been outside of the rotation for much of the season, appearing in 22 games while averaging 2.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.0 minutes per contest. He's unlikely to attract much interest in free agency once he clears waivers.
