2025 Fantasy Outlook
After three teams in two years, Brown is back in Denver, where he was a key piece to the Nuggets' first championship. Officially a journeyman, Brown has now played for six teams during his first seven years in the NBA. He wasn't Denver's only addition this offseason, as the Nuggets traded Michael Porter for Cameron Johnson and Dario Saric for Jonas Valanciunas. They also signed Tim Hardaway, with Russell Westbrook the only notable departure. With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope gone last year, Christian Braun stepped up as the starting shooting guard and flourished, but the Kansas product will face pressure from Brown and Hardaway in 2025-26. Denver also has intriguing youngsters in Jalen Pickett, Julian Strawther and Peyton Watson, but they'll have to earn their playing time. Brown averaged 11.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.6 blocks while posting 48/36/76 shooting splits during his lone season in Denver en route to a top-75 finish in eight-category leagues. He hasn't cracked the Top 100 in any other season. There will be a consistent role for Brown on the wings this season, and he figures to play better while sharing the court with Nikola Jokic again, but will Brown replicate his career-best campaign? That seems unlikely. Read Past Outlooks
Strong line in win

ANALYSIS
This was one of Brown's best performances in a while, but fantasy managers will want to see more consistency. Over his last seven appearances, Brown has been outside the top-200 players in standard nine-category formats with averages of 7.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 0.7 steals in 24.4 minutes per contest.

After a championship season with the Nuggets in 2022-23, Brown began the 2023-24 season with the Pacers before being traded to the Raptors in mid-January. He put together a solid run with the Raptors, averaging 9.6 points on 48.1 percent shooting, 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 26.1 minutes per game over his final 34 appearances. He topped the 20-point mark twice during the season, both times with the Pacers in the first half of the campaign, including a season-high 30 points on 11-for-16 shooting in a road win against the Heat in early December. During his final stretch of the season with the Raptors, Brown logged a high of 19 points on a 7-for-13 shooting effort in a road win against the Bulls in late January. He also logged one double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds in a road win over the Nuggets in early March. Despite being linked in trade talks, Brown is on track to start the season with the Raptors and will likely be back in a sixth-man role, which is where he has thrived in the past. He is also likely to see more than a few opportunities to close games, as his defensive ability often helps him spark runs and protect leads in key situations.

Adjusting to new role
Brown acknowledged that he's adjusting to a new role with the Nuggets in the 2025-26 season, according to Bennett Durando of The Denver Post. "Little different. I'm still getting adjusted to it," Brown said about his new role in his return to Denver.
ANALYSIS
Brown said he's not worried about the new role as long as it helps the team. "All I care about is winning. I'm trying to put another banner up. So I'm still getting adjusted to it. Sometimes you might see me come out of the game a little frustrated, just because I'm still getting used to it," he acknowledged. Brown had more on-ball responsibilities in his previous tenure with Denver, but he's been asked to be more of a defensive stopper and catch-and-shoot threat this time around.
