2025 Fantasy Outlook
With Memphis' backcourt depleted last season, Spencer occasionally saw extended action as a rookie. He played at least 20 minutes four times, averaging 15.0 points, 4.3 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 26.0 minutes per game. Ja Morant is expected to be healthy in 2025-26, and the Grizzlies also added Ty Jerome to their backcourt this offseason. Jerome signed a sizable contract, which likely makes him the primary backup. Spencer will also probably be behind Scotty Pippen, who's starred in expanded action when Morant has been sidelined the past two seasons. Spencer doesn't need to be on fantasy radars on draft day, but if things don't go as planned in Memphis, the 2024 second-round pick could make an impact in Year 2. Read Past Outlooks
Adds 11 in preseason finale
Spencer put up 11 points (3-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, three rebounds and a steal over 21 minutes in Friday's 141-125 preseason win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Spencer took advantage of Ja Morant's absence and backup Ty Jerome playing only four minutes, pacing the team in assists (five) and three-point attempts (six). While Spencer is in competition with Javon Small for minutes, it is worth noting Small is on a two-way contract, meaning it is likely Spencer begins the regular season as the third-string point guard behind Morant and Jerome.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
To crack Memphis rotation?
Spencer could be in line for minutes to open the 2025-26 regular season after news broke that Ty Jerome will miss at least four weeks due to right calf strain, Sam Amico of Hoops Wire reports.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies will presumably lean heavily on the likes of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Cedric Coward following Jerome's injury, but Spencer shouldn't be ruled out as someone who could crack the rotation with this latest hit to the team's backcourt depth. The 25-year-old out of UConn closed the preseason on a high note, adding 11 points on three triples, so he certainly has the ability to do damage from beyond the arc with the bench unit if asked. Spencer wasn't much of a factor during his rookie campaign with Memphis, averaging 4.2 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 10.1 minutes over 25 games.
