2025 Fantasy Outlook
Jackson tore his Achilles tendon last November, and it's unclear if he'll be ready for the start of training camp. However, the Pacers don't appear to be concerned about his long-term availability, as they signed Jackson to a three-year, $21 million deal this offseason. Tyrese Haliburton isn't expected to play in 2025-26 after tearing his Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, and that news played a part in long-time starting center Myles Turner leaving for Milwaukee in free agency. With Turner gone, there's a massive hole in Indiana's starting lineup, and Jackson, if healthy, is a candidate to fill that spot. James Wiseman, who's also recovering from an Achilles injury, is another candidate, while Jay Huff, Tony Bradley, Obi Toppin and Jarace Walker could also see consistent minutes at the five throughout the season. Huff is the only true center that is healthy, so he probably has the upper hand. Bradley, Toppin and Walker are all undersized when playing the five but are capable if needed. Jackson has never averaged more than 17 minutes per game for an entire season, but he grabs rebounds and puts up defensive stats in a hurry. If he's able to separate himself from the rest of Indiana's centers, Jackson could be a draft-day steal, but you won't have to use a top-200 pick to secure his services, and he's more valuable in category leagues as a defensive specialist. Falling behind Huff at center
Jackson totaled zero points (0-2 FG), seven rebounds, two blocks and three steals in 17 minutes during Monday's 116-105 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Jackson drew some preseason sleeper buzz following Myles Turner's offseason departure, but the former simply hasn't been able to gain much traction in 2025-26. Jay Huff appears to be taking over at center, leading the league with 2.5 blocks per game. As for Jackson, he has averaged an efficient 7.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks in 18.0 minutes per contest over his last six games (no starts), though Monday's scoreless outing was his first since the season opener.

Despite a fantasy-friendly skill set, Jackson hasn't established himself as a consistent asset in fantasy or reality. After putting together two intriguing seasons, Jackson's role during the 2023-24 season was reduced, limiting him to just 13.3 minutes per game. He closed with per-game averages of 6.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks, resulting in him being a non-factor outside of deeper fantasy formats. On paper, there is a chance he could be the primary backup behind Myles Turner this upcoming season, potentially landing him a meaningful role for the first time in his career. However, he will likely be competing with James Wiseman and even Obi Toppin, both of whom will also be looking to prove themselves. Given the uncertainty, Jackson does not warrant a draft pick in a standard league. Managers should simply keep an eye on Jackson's playing time over the first week or two, just in case he carves out a regular backup role.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Pacers seeking upgrade?
The Pacers are exploring the trade market for their center of the future, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
ANALYSIS
This is a concerning update for Jackson, and for Jay Huff, for that matter. Both players are currently in a timeshare at center, averaging roughly 18 minutes per contest. Additionally, the Pacers have mixed in Tony Bradley at center for certain matchups. If the Pacers do end up securing another center, Huff may have a slight edge over Jackson for the backup role.
