Double-double off bench
Walker logged 22 points (7-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one block over 28 minutes during the 76res' 106-102 win over the Jazz on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Walker posted his second double-double of the season in Wednesday's win, finishing with a season high in points and as the 76ers' second-leading scorer behind Tyrese Maxey (25 points). Walker was averaging 12.0 minutes per game prior to the All-Star break, but the 2022 second-rounder has seen more play off the bench as of late and has posted back-to-back games of 20-plus points. Unlike Tuesday's blowout loss to the Hawks, Wednesday's contest was a close contest for most of the night, and it's worth noting that Walker played the entire fourth quarter. That extra time has come due to the recent absences of VJ Edgecombe (back) and Kelly Oubre (illness), but perhaps Walker's play during the Sixers' back-to-back set will earn him more consistent minutes down the stretch as Philadelphia looks to improve its seeding ahead of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Following a modest rookie campaign, Walker stepped into a meaningful role during the 2023-24 season, albeit largely due to the unavailability of other players. He finished just inside the top 250 in standard leagues, averaging 8.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 0.6 three-pointers in 23.6 minutes per game. Although Walker's showing was promising, examining his minutes earlier in the season might be a better gauge of what to expect heading into his third season, especially after the addition of Deni Avdija. Assuming the Trail Blazers are relatively healthy, it's hard to see Walker logging more than 20 minutes on a nightly basis, making him an afterthought outside of deeper leagues. However, should Portland fall out of playoff contention sooner rather than later, Walker could be a nice late-season pickup for anyone needing a bump in rebounding and points.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set to sign standard deal?
Walker is expected to be promoted to a standard contract in the near future, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
ANALYSIS
Walker is one of two 76ers players who are expected to be promoted from two-way deals to standard contracts, with Dominick Barlow being the other. Walker has appeared in 40 games for the 76ers this season, averaging 3.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game while logging 12.7 minutes per contest. He's emerged as a solid depth option in the frontcourt, which is why the 76ers are expected to hand him a standard contract before he reaches his 50-game limit, something that should happen around the All-Star break if he stays healthy.
