2025 Fantasy Outlook
Williams had a productive 2024-25 season with the Thunder, averaging 5.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.6 blocks in 16.7 minutes per game across 47 appearances, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the floor. He played a key role in the Thunder's rotation, helping the team with rebounding, playmaking and interior defense. This offseason, Williams secured a three-year, $24 million extension. With rookie Thomas Sorber out for the season following a torn ACL, he may once again claim the No. 2 job at center behind Isaiah Hartenstein. His ability to contribute across multiple positions and fit into double-big lineups enhances the Thunder's flexibility while giving him steady fantasy appeal in very deep fantasy formats. In 2024-25, he nearly snuck into the top-200 for nine-category fantasy value on a per-game basis despite his limited workloads. Read Past Outlooks
Out with shoulder soreness
Williams (shoulder) is out for Saturday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
After not being listed on the initial injury report, Williams has been downgraded to out due to left shoulder soreness. Monday's matchup against the Pelicans marks his next chance to return to the court. Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein should share the center minutes Saturday, meaning Alex Caruso and Luguentz Dort could be needed to handle some playing time at power forward.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Williams was moderately productive during his rookie season, taking advantage of a season-ending injury to Chet Holmgren before any real basketball had been played. He finished just outside the top 250 in standard leagues, averaging 5.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 0.6 steals. With Holmgren now fully healthy and slated to assume the starting center role, the short-term outlook for Williams is far from positive. It is likely he will remain in the rotation, although there is almost no way he exceeds the 18.9 minutes per game he saw last season. Given what we know, he should only be considered in very deep formats.
