2025 Fantasy Outlook
In his fourth season in the NBA, Landale failed to make any significant strides, averaging 4.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 11.9 minutes per game, appearing in just 42 regular-season games. With Houston loading up its frontcourt, Landale was moved to Memphis, where he could see a slight uptick in minutes, at least until both Jaren Jackson and Zach Edey are healthy. With that said, Landale is, for the most part, going to be nothing more than a depth piece on a team looking for redemption. He could spend a lot of time on the bench, and will likely struggle to be a consistent part of the rotation, assuming the team can stay healthy, something it has struggled to do over the past two years. Double-double in defeat
Landale posted 24 points (11-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 32 minutes during Friday's 133-127 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Landale returned to the starting lineup after coming off the bench in the previous two games and turned in one of his strongest performances of the season despite the loss. Friday marked the big man's seventh double-double and fifth 20-point outing of the year. In his first season with the Grizzlies, the 30-year-old has been a solid contributor, frequently stepping up in a frontcourt that's been hit hard by injuries.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
After a relatively strong showing during his second season in the NBA, Landale landed a three-year deal with the Rockets. He served as the backup behind Deandre Ayton during the 2022-23 season, averaging 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14.2 minutes per game. He is likely to see a similar role in Houston, playing behind Alperen Sengun. Landale suffered an ankle injury in the lead-up to the FIBA World Cup, ruling him out of the competition. Although there are still two months until the start of the regular season, there is a chance he is not available for the start of training camp, at the very least. With that said, it should not delay his Rockets debut too much, meaning managers should get a good look at his role. Unless the team opts to utilize him as a floor-spacing five, affording him at least 22 minutes per night, he is not going to be a standard league asset.

Could be trade chip
Landale is considered a candidate to be moved ahead of the trade deadline, Michael Scotto of Hoopshype reports.
ANALYSIS
Landale has basically split the backup center minutes in Houston with Steven Adams, appearing in 14 regular-season games for an average of 11.1 minutes. Landale is owed $8 million this season but has a non-guaranteed contract for the 2025-26 campaign. He's unlikely to draw much interest on his own, but his contract could simply be used as a salary filler in a bigger deal.
