2025 Fantasy Outlook
Despite an ability to put up numbers across multiple categories, Konchar struggled to carve out a consistent role during the 2024-25 season. Across 46 games, he put up just 2.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.7 steals in 12.1 minutes per game. While the removal of Desmond Bane will have an impact on Konchar's opportunities, the addition of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Cedric Coward could basically offset any uptick in playing time he may have been expecting. It's easy to say that injuries to other players could open up the door for Konchar. However, injuries have been a common theme in Memphis over the past two years, and to date, Konchar has struggled to capitalize on this opportunity. Look for him to play limited minutes off the bench, if and when required. Read Past Outlooks
Strong defensive line
Konchar ended with six points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals across 25 minutes during Thursday's 135-119 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Konchar is not a scorer, but his ability to generate rebounds, assists and defensive stats can make him appealing in category formats. There are a lot of minutes up for grabs in Utah due to Jaren Jackson's injury and the constant maintenance of key players, making Konchar a player to monitor.

Having averaged at least 20 minutes per game during each of the last two seasons, Konchar's offensive limitations continue to put a cap on his overall fantasy appeal. He finished as the 165th-ranked player during the 2023-24 season, taking advantage of the Grizzlies' injury-depleted roster. Konchar plays like a watered-down version of Josh Hart, providing excellent rebounding numbers from the guard position, with an ability to deliver serviceable defensive contributions. Unfortunately, last season may have been a high point for Konchar, assuming Memphis can table a healthy roster for most of the upcoming campaign. Konchar should feature in the rotation but should he be limited to 15 minutes per contest, making his fantasy value in standard formats non-existent.

Could be on move
Konchar could be on the move via trade this offseason, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies recently traded Desmond Bane to Orlando in exchange for a plethora of draft picks, all in an effort to clear up some cap space to extend Jaren Jackson. With the Grizzlies looking to continue that objective, Konchar is viewed as expendable. Konchar, who averaged 2.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 12.1 minutes across 44 regular-season appearances in 2024-25, has two years and a combined $12.3 million left on the books.
