2025 Fantasy Outlook
The 2024-25 season in Philadelphia was one to forget, and that's true for Lowry as well. The veteran point guard averaged a career-low 3.9 points and 2.7 assists per game while shooting just 35.0 percent from the field over 35 outings. He was mainly deployed as a reserve with 12 starts and struggled to stay on the floor. Despite all this, Lowry was re-signed to a one-year deal worth $3.63 million, and he'll likely reprise his role behind Tyrese Maxey, who should be 100 percent by Opening Night. The 76ers have a ton of depth on the wings, assuming Jared McCain (knee) returns shortly after Opening Night. Quentin Grimes is expected to be re-signed, while Paul George's (knee) status is up in the air. The 76ers took VJ Edgecombe with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and if the Summer League is any indication, he could be ready for a ton of minutes right out of the gate. Lowry, who will be 40 by the end of the season, is unlikely to be a factor in most fantasy formats. Read Past Outlooks
Standing ovation in Toronto
Lowry produced zero points (0-3 FG, 0-3 3Pt) in two minutes during Monday's 115-102 victory over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Lowry played out the final two minutes in the blowout win, receiving a standing ovation for what is likely to be his final game in Toronto. After playing much of his career with the Raptors, Lowry now serves as a depth piece for the 76ers, spending very little time on the court. While there is obviously no fantasy impact here, the fans were certainly appreciative of everything he did during his time in Toronto.

There's no question that Lowry is past his prime, and while he's still a capable NBA contributor who can make an impact as a backup point guard for a contending team, his days as a floor general who can be relevant in fantasy are long gone. The veteran point guard divided his 2023-24 campaign between the Heat and 76ers, and overall, he started 55 of 60 regular-season appearances, averaging 8.1 points, 4.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game. Those numbers deserve attention, as it was the first time Lowry averaged single-digit points since the 2009-10 season, and the other categories were also his lowest marks since that year. Lowry will play for the Sixers in 2024-25, but he's slated to be a backup behind Tyrese Maxey. Lowry could have value in deep formats, but he shouldn't be a factor in standard, 12-team or even 14-team leagues.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely to continue playing
Lowry is expected to continue playing in 2025-26, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
ANALYSIS
Lowry is not the player he once was, but he remains a respected veteran and a leader on and off the court. Plus, he fits like a glove with the 76ers, as Philadelphia values Lowry for his leadership and mentorship of young guards like Tyrese Maxey and Jared McCain. Expect the 76ers to make a move to sign Lowry to a veteran-minimum deal this summer.
