2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bagley split his time between the Grizzlies and Wizards in 2024-25, but he never broke through on either team. Overall, he made a total of 31 regular-season appearances with averages of 4.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per contest. During the offseason, Bagley signed a one-year deal with the Wizards, and there's a chance he could be slightly more involved. Alex Sarr is the unquestioned starter, but Washington's other two options at center are two-way center Tristan Vukcevic and Anthony Gill. Bagley has always been a capable scorer and rebounder, but the rest of his stat profile is pretty bland. As long as Sarr is upright, Bagley will be an undesirable fantasy asset. Read Past Outlooks
Logs 20 minutes in return
Bagley (neck) produced six points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 20 minutes during Sunday's 122-92 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Bagley made his return to action following a five-game absence due to a neck sprain, stepping back into his usual role as the Mavericks' top backup center. So long as Daniel Gafford is available for Dallas, Bagley may have difficulty reaching the 25-minute mark in most games, which makes it tough to rely on the big man outside of deeper leagues as anything more than a streaming option for rebounds and field-goal percentage.

2018
Bagley began his career with high expectations after the Kings selected him with the No. 2 pick of the 2018 Draft. However, the 25-year-old has yet to surpass his rookie season, during which he averaged 14.9 points and 7.6 rebounds across 25.3 minutes per game in 62 regular-season outings. After a four-year stint with the Kings, Bagley was traded to Detroit, where he struggled to establish a prominent role due partly to a knee injury, a lingering back injury and a surgery to repair two fractured fingers on his non-shooting hand. The Pistons eventually traded the big man to the Wizards last season. In Washington, Bagley averaged 13.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.4 combined steals and blocks in 24.0 minutes per game for a non-contending team. However, he may struggle to carve out a prominent role with the Wizards this season after the team signed Jonas Valanciunas and selected Alex Sarr with the No. 2 pick. Furthermore, Bagley will have to compete for minutes off the bench with Richaun Holmes and Tristan Vukcevic. Bagley's fantasy upside relies on his offensive production and rebounding, and if he's unable to exceed 20-plus minutes per game, he will likely be a non-factor in fantasy formats.

Draws accolades from Kidd
Bagley has drawn praise from coach Jason Kidd, who called him "a really good player" and credited his growing comfort level within the system, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Kidd noted that Bagley is "a grown-up and understands the NBA game a little bit," adding that development doesn't always happen overnight. The coach also emphasized that the staff and team have worked to make him comfortable, saying, "you can see the way he's playing," suggesting confidence in his recent form. If Bagley continues to settle in and produce consistently, he could carve out a more stable role in the rotation for the Mavericks.
