2025 Fantasy Outlook
Despite playing just 46 games during the 2024-25 season due to a hand injury, Jovic turned some heads with his style of play throughout the campaign. He finished with averages of 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 25.1 minutes per game. The Heat opted to stand pat during the offseason, with the only notable acquisition being Norman Powell. This could result in Jovic stepping into a slightly larger role for the 2025-26 season, with a lot likely depending on the early-season results. While his upside in any one category is limited, his ability to play as a makeshift facilitator from the forward position is intriguing. Jovic finished Saturday's 127-111 loss to Sacramento with 12 points (4-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six assists, two rebounds and one steal across 31 minutes.

After recording a DNP-CD in Friday's loss to Orlando, Jovic logged a season-high-tying 31 minutes with Tyler Herro (toe), Davion Mitchell (groin) and Pelle Larsson (hip) sidelined Saturday. Jovic wasn't extremely efficient but was still one of five Heat players to score in double figures. The 22-year-old forward also dished out a team- and season-high-tying six assists. Jovic has seen double-digit minutes just once through four games in December, so he isn't guaranteed significant playing time when the team is at full strength.

After an injury-riddled start to his sophomore season, Jovic finished strongly, starting 26 of his final 27 games. Across the last two months of the season, he averaged 9.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 22.2 minutes per game. Heading into the 2024-25 campaign, Jovic may very well hold onto his starting position, putting him on the fantasy radar, even in some standard leagues. Should his playing time increase to 27 minutes per game, he has the upside to at least nudge the top 100. However, he remains largely unproven and although he could be a starter, there is no guarantee he will play typical starter's minutes. Factoring in the uncertainty, Jovic could be worth taking a flier on late in drafts. Should it not pan out as hoped, the limited upside should reassure managers he is safe to move on from.

Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra is hoping to get more out of Jovic going forward, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

"When he plays with a force of will and an intention, it's always starting with him, and an approach every day, to approach a practice day and a shootaround and a film session like it's really important," Spoelstra said. "He's made improvements with that. It's still not where it needs to be, because he's young and doesn't see that it's always important. But he's getting there. And then it's a matter of consistency. But you can see the possibilities when he has that intention and things are important to him."
