2025 Fantasy Outlook
Having now played at least 70 games in all seven of his years in the league, O'Neale continues to be a great glue guy. During his first season with the Suns, O'Neale started 22 of his 75 games, ending with season averages of 9.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.4 three-pointers in 24.5 minutes per contest. Phoenix made a couple of wholesale changes during the offseason, parting ways with both Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks will likely enter the starting lineup, having been acquired as part of the Durant deal. While O'Neale is a chance to fill one of the other three starting spots, there is a decent chance Ryan Dunn will serve as a primary forward, be it as a starter or off the bench. O'Neale should continue to play a consistent role for a team focused on turning things around after a disappointing 2024-25 season. Look for him to nudge 20 minutes per contest, providing contributions where required on a nightly basis. Read Past Outlooks
Drains four threes Monday
O'Neale had 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 23 minutes during Monday's 121-98 victory over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Grayson Allen stole the show Monday with a 42-point performance that included a franchise-record 10 three-pointers made, but O'Neale was one of the several complementary pieces who posted a solid stat line. O'Neale has started in seven of the Suns' last eight games and has scored in double digits in all but one of those contests, establishing himself as a reliable streaming alternative in most formats.

O'Neale signed a four-year, $44 million deal to return to the Suns in the offseason, and while he's expected to be a valuable on-court contributor for Phoenix, his role off the bench will limit his fantasy upside considerably. The Suns already feature three high-usage players in Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley, meaning whoever starts in the other forward spot -- as Jusuf Nurkic is entrenched at center -- will probably be relegated to a spot-up shooting role on offense. The Suns already have one of the best long-range shooters in the league in Grayson Allen, so O'Neale, who is an above-average three-and-D player in his own range, seems set to play off the bench. Given he's never averaged more than 9.0 points per game nor made more than 39 percent of his threes in any of his previous seven seasons in the NBA, O'Neale seems to be the typical example of a player whose on-court value surpasses his fantasy upside by a sizable margin. O'Neale could still have value in deep formats, and he might be a valuable streaming alternative in case Allen or Durant are forced to miss time, but at full strength, he shouldn't carry a lot of fantasy value in most formats.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Will compete for starting role
O'Neale is expected to compete for a spot in the Suns' starting lineup for the upcoming 2025-26 season, according to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic.
ANALYSIS
The Suns are expected to start Dillon Brooks, Mark Williams, Devin Booker and Jalen Green, but the power forward role is up for grabs. O'Neale is expected to compete with Ryan Dunn for that final starting nod. Dunn excels on the defensive side of the ball, but O'Neale would be an excellent option to stretch the floor, having made 40.6 percent of his threes during the 2024-25 campaign.
