Will enter NBA Draft
Newell will enter the 2025 NBA Draft, according to Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Givony's announcement indicates that Newell will forgo his three years of collegiate eligibility remaining. Even though the freshman's 33 starts show that he needs to improve his three-point shooting (29.2 percent), it did not stop him from logging 15.4 points per game. Excluding outside shots, Newell still averages 14.6 points on a 54.3 field goal percentage and a 74.8 free-throw percentage. He logged almost 7.0 rebounds per game, split relatively evenly on both sides of the ball, 3.3 offense and 3.5 defense.
