Acuff put the Razorbacks on his shoulders in a double-overtime loss to Alabama on Wednesday with a career-high 49 points (16-27 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 11-12 FT), five rebounds and five assists.
ANALYSIS
The freshman guard sent the game into overtime with a 30-point 3-pointer with six seconds remaining. By the second overtime, the Razorbacks had four players foul out, including three starters. Acuff missed a driving layup that would have sent the game into a third overtime (and a dunk off an offensive rebound by Malique Ewin was also missed). Acuff has scored 80 points in his last two games. We will see if he has any magic left after playing 50 minutes against the Tide in his next game on Saturday against Missouri.
