ANALYSIS
The absence here comes as little surprise, as Quaintance has been working his way back from ACL surgery in March. While coach Mark Pope has indicated that the center will play this season, news on a potential timetable for return has been sparse. Kentucky has one more exhibition matchup against Georgetown scheduled for Oct. 30 before opening up the season against Nicholls on Nov. 4. In the meantime, Kentucky started Brandon Garrison and Mouhamed Dioubate in the frontcourt for exhibition play -- a pattern that could continue into the regular season if it holds Thursday night.
