Seven rebounds during exhibition
FProvidence
October 19, 2025
Mela (lower leg) logged four points (1-4 FG, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes during Providence's exhibition game Sunday at Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
Mela came off Providence's bench, and it comes off as a reasonable benching considering the Friar depth available. As a starter last season, he particularly showed promise in his last three games, averaging 14.7 points and 6.3 rebounds. For the NCAA's 2025-26 season, the question becomes whether or not Mela can continue his aforementioned starting excellence, but Pittsburgh's latest exhibition suggests otherwise.
