Providence's latest exhibition suggests that Vaaks will likely be a role player, though the future availability of Rich Barron (groin) may dent the former's role even more. However, there is still plenty of time for Vaaks to prove himself and Providence's head coach Kim English to decide his preferred regular-season rotation. Considering that Vaaks is an unheralded freshman, it would make sense if the Friars tread lightly on his usage until he is more proven.
