Kafman-Renn is projected as one of the top fantasy assets among power conference players after posting an impressive 20.1 ppg scoring average a season ago. He was right back to his high-scoring ways here, leading Purdue in that category while tying Fletcher Loyer for the most field-goal attempts with 15. One threat to his production may be incoming transfer Oscar Cluff, who was second in the country in rebounding last year at South Dakota State with 12.3 rpg. That didn't seem to be an issue in this one, at least, as Cluff only played 22 minutes (without foul trouble) and corralled the same amount of boards as TKR. We'll see if that keeps up in Purdue's final exhibition game schedule for Oct. 29 against Indianapolis. The Boilermakers then begin their regular season Nov. 4 against Evansville.
