Spieker led the Alouettes in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night with numbers that also qualified as season-high figures. The Wisconsin-LaCrosse product previously counted his 6-57 line in Week 4 against the Tiger-Cats as his high-water marks in catches and yards, so the breakout performance was very unexpected. Spieker also recorded his second touchdown of the season on a 10-yard grab late in the third quarter, and he'll have a solid chance of putting together a successful encore effort in a Week 8 Thursday night road matchup against the Stampeders.
