Bowers is transferring to UConn, per Storrs Central.

Bowers is will join the Huskies after carrying the ball 63 times for 249 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games at West Virginia during the 2025 campaign. He should have the chance to compete with Trey Cornist and Mel Brown for the team's starting running back job next season.
