Darrion Dupree News: Competing for major role

Dupree is one of three running backs competing for a major role in Wisconsin's backfield, per Lorin Cox of Sports Illustrated.

Wisconsin is evaluating Dupree alongside Cade Yacamelli and Dilin Jones as they look to define their running back rotation. Offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes noted that the staff may ideally settle on two lead backs but is open to rotating three if all perform well. Dupree, who logged 317 yards on 79 carries in 2024, enters camp as the most productive returning option, but nothing appears locked in as the competition unfolds.
