Hunter Simmons News: Takes over in second half

Simmons completed 12 of 19 passes for 162 yards and two interceptions during Saturday's 17-7 defeat to Minnesota.

The Badgers started Carter Smith, but Simmons was featured for a few snaps in the first half and took over duties after halftime. The 4-8 Badgers have struggled at the quarterback position all season, and the snowy conditions didn't help matters. Simmons transferred to Wisconsin in hopes of lifting his draft capital in his final season of eligibility, but he isn't anywhere to be seen in current draft board projections.
