Smith has committed to play for Ball State for the 2026 season, per 247Sports.com.

Smith will join the Cardinals following two seasons with Florida Atlantic. The 5-foot-10 receiver caught 15 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns across 11 games for the Owls in 2025. He will retain two years of eligibility with Ball State moving forward.
