Jake Merklinger News: Committed to Huskies

Merklinger has committed to play for UConn for the 2026 season, per On3.com.

Merklinger will join the Huskies following two seasons with Tennessee. The 6-foot-3 quarterback appeared in four games in 2025, throwing for 173 yards and two touchdowns in that time. He will retain three years of eligibility with UConn moving forward.
