Ja'Vin Simpkins News: Commits to UAB

Simpkins has committed to UAB, per the team's X account Saturday.

As part of Coastal Carolina, Simpkins logged an excellent 2025. He recorded 125 rushing attempts for 591 yards and two touchdowns. Considering that fellow running backs Jevon Jackson and Isaiah Jacobs maximized their collegiate eligibility with UAB, Simpkins may be the 2026 Blazers' best RB. But for carries, Roderick Robinson, who will transfer from SEC powerhouse Georgia, can provide stiff competition though.
