KJ Cooper News: Makes jump to FBS

Cooper will transfer to South Florida, the program announced.

Cooper spent three seasons at Texas Southern. He didn't see the field much until 2025, when he tossed for 1,611 yards, 13 touchdowns and six interceptions on 61.3 percent completion, also running for 272 yards and three touchdowns. Cooper will likely battle for a backup role behind LSU transfer Michael Van Buren.
