Robby Preckel News: Productive in emergency RB duty
Preckel had 22 carries for 82 yards and one reception on three targets in Saturday's loss at Illinois.
Preckel took over as the primary running back after Joseph Himon left with an injury and with Caleb Komolafe and Dashun Reeder sidelined with injuries. Preckel was moved to running back from tight end due to the injuries and ran the ball more like a fullback. While at least one of the top running backs should be back for Northwestern's bowl game, Preckel's versatility could put him into the mix more on offense as multidimensional player.
