Sire Gaines News: Reaches paydirt in MWC Championship

Gaines had nine rushes for 64 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 38-21 Mountain West Championship win over UNLV.

Gaines handled just nine carries compared to Dylan Riley's 21, but he made the most of his totes and finished with just 11 fewer yards on the ground, in addition to one rushing score to Riley's zero. Riley did reach the end zone with a catch out of the backfield, and Gaines looks to be settled into the No. 2 role in Boise State's backfield. He'll have another opportunity to rack up some yardage in the Broncos' bowl game before calling it a season.
