Smith is fully healthy for Memphis' fall camp, per Jonah Dylan of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Smith suffered a leg injury in Week 1 for Memphis in 2024, and was forced to miss the rest of the season. Now, he returns, and he reportedly carries high expectations within this Tigers' offense. Smith figures to be the starter in a Memphis backfield that also features Greg Desrosiers and Makari Bodiford, among others.
