Barnes caught 6 of 7 targets for 149 yards during Saturday's 42-10 victory over Western Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Barnes commanded a 31.8 percent target share in Week 2 and accounted for well over half of the team's 269 receiving yards. However, he didn't catch either of the team's touchdown passes. Barnes caught just three passes on four targets for 23 receiving yards in Week 1. The redshirt freshman is competing with Carlos Hernandez, Sterling Berkhalter and Micah Mays for targets, but Saturday's contest could go a long way in earning quarterback Robby Ashford's trust.
