2025 Fantasy Outlook
Brown's 2025 season commenced with him working in a backfield committee alongside Maurice Turner, Keyjuan Brown, Duke Watson and Donald Chaney. By Week 5, Brown started to emerge as the top option in the backfield, amassing 13 carries for 72 yards and four grabs for 23 yards and a score in the contest. He served in more of a workhorse role down the stretch, handling at least 50 percent of the rushing attempts in five of the last games and 43 percent against Miami. The only two games he didn't? A game against Stanford in which he missed most of the game due to injury, and the subsequent week against Pitt in a blowout win. Watson is definitely an intriguing option behind Brown, but all signs point to Brown claiming a clear lead role in an explosive Cardinals offense in 2025, which should result in an improvement on his 147 carries for 1,074 yards and 11 touchdowns and 30 grabs for 152 yards and a score over the 12 regular-season contests last season, making him a top-flight fantasy running back option. Finally hits 100 yards again
Brown had 15 rushes for 113 yards and gathered in all two targets for six yards during Friday's 24-21 victory against Miami (FL).
ANALYSIS
Brown had been largely stymied since Week 2 against James Madison, but he finally hit the 100-yard mark again as Louisville pulled off a big-time win against No. 2 Miami on the road. Brown's 15 carries were a season high, and he also had at least two receptions for the third straight week. After a rough stretch early in the season, the star tailback appears to be rounding back into form. Boston College in Week 9 presents an excellent chance for the halfback to run wild as well.
