Landon Sides

Sides went from 30 catches for 363 yards and four touchdowns in 2023 to 24 catches for 280 yards and a touchdown in 2024. The Mean Green have lost their top three receivers from 2024, so there will be a lot more targets to go around. While Sides didn't exactly take the Year Two leap many were hoping for, the path is now there for him with DT Sheffield, Damon Ward and Blair Conwright all gone. Miles Coleman is expected to claim the slot role, but the outside receiver spots are up for grabs, and Sides seems the favorite to claim the first of the two spots and take that step forward. While there's also some turnover under center with Chandler Morris transferring to Virginia, Drew Mestemaker showed some promise in the bowl game, and the Mean Green added Reese Poffenbarger as a transfer from Miami this offseason to battle it out in camp for the starting job. The system remains fantasy-friendly to wideouts, and the quarterback dropoff shouldn't be too far, so it's fair to expect big things from the top wideouts in UNT's room again in 2025, and Sides appears poised to be part of that group.
