2025 Fantasy Outlook
Marchiol projects as the starter for the Mountaineers, although he will need to fend off Texas A&M transfer Jaylen Henderson. Head coach Rich Rodriguez makes his return to West Virginia and typically has a spread-option offense that is extremely fantasy-friendly. Both Marchiol's and Henderson's mobility and arm talent project well in this type of offense, which includes designed QB runs and RPOs. The Mountaineers will benefit from another season with RB Jahiem White; however, they will need to break in young receivers, as none of the top pass catchers from a year ago are back. West Virginia is truly a wildcard team for the conference this season. Marchiol completed 15 of 26 passes for 178 yards and one interception during Saturday's 17-10 loss to Ohio. He also had 11 rushes for nine yards.

Marchiol struggled against the Bobcats on the road and was temporarily benched for Jaylen Henderson. Henderson also struggled which caused the team go back to Marchiol. The worst news for the Mountaineers was that they lost their star RB Jahiem White to a leg injury. This could have a serious impact on West Virginia's season and it's not good timing at all as they go up against a good Pittsburgh team next week.
