C9 and FlyQuest held flex picks late into the Game 1 draft, and neither went where expected. FLY sent Sion to Massu, slotting in with Senna support, while C9 put Zaahen in the jungle. Massu had a pair of kills early as Sion, but that was the extent of his damage, as Cloud9 stomped the team from then on. He rebounded with a solid Game 2, posting a 4/0/6 KDA as Ezreal before going killess as Jhin in a lopsided Game 3 defeat.
